Timberscombe School Needs You!

We are delighted to announce that we will be part of the

TESCO 'Bags of help' scheme during July and August.

Please read about our much needed project below and PLEASE ask for the

blue tokens when you shop and support our hard working village school.

WE REALLY NEED YOUR HELP!

We would like to be able to extend one of our two main classrooms due to

a growing number of pupils within Timberscombe School.

Over the past 5 years the headcount has nearly doubled, which is fantastic news for our school, however we are beginning to struggle with the space to support this.

We are hoping to make alterations to an existing covered area to incorporate a greenhouse effect within the existing classroom, giving children the opportunity to be actively involved in planting, maintaining and harvesting, witnessing the life cycle from seed to harvest. We feel this will reinforce nutrition using the classroom as a laboratory for learning. We also believe that understanding how food is grown inspires curiosity and expands a childs willingness to try new foods. In order to make this area the best it can be, we are hoping to win your vote and secure the funds to give the young children of Timberscombe School this fantastic opportunity.

Please support us!

Voting starts 1st July and ends 31st August

Thank you for your support.
