VILLAGE AGENT NEWS

Have you made a New Year’s resolution?  Maybe to get fit or join a group or club?  In order to feel happy and mentally positive, we need to look after our bodies, because our emotions, mental state and bodies are all related to one another. This means feeding ourselves good food, taking an adequate amount of exercise, and engaging in other activities that make us feel happy and connected to the world.

Locally there are lots of opportunities to join in with activities, from keep fit classes at the Moorland Hall Wheddon Cross, to the Pastimes Club at Hanover Court, Dulverton, book groups, gardening groups, history groups, craft groups and the WI – Exmoor really does have something for everyone!  So why not set yourself a new goal for the new year and try something different?

The next meeting of the Exmoor Carers Group will be on Monday 30th January at the Rest & Be Thankful, Wheddon Cross, 12-2pm.  All welcome!

I can hardly believe it has been four years that I have been writing in this magazine as your Village Agent, but sadly this will be the last piece that I will be submitting as I will be handing over the reins to someone new very shortly.  Thank you for the friendships and many happy memories made along the way, I will still be actively working for the Community Council for Somerset but just in a different role so my working ties with Exmoor will still remain as strong as ever!
